Integrated in the Competition line, these speakers have been developed fromsome of the most demanded models all over the planet by the Car Audio market inBeymas professional line.
Beyma presents a total of 4 new loudspeaker models, among them its worth payingparticular attention to PRO8MI. This loudspeaker has diameter of 8" and iscapable of handling very high power: 200 Wrms. Thanks to the special design,optimized to reproduce the midrange frequency, the loudspeaker offers highsensitivity in all models that are around 100 dB.
Its important to emphasize that although this loudspeaker seems physicallyintended for woofer or subwoofer; this speaker is not designed to reproduce thatfrequency range. Meaning we could break it quite easily if we intend to give itsuch use.
On the contrary, if we use it to reproduce the frequencies for which it isdesigned, this speaker can generate very high levels with great high qualityplayback. But always as part of a system in which there also woofers and/orsubwoofers to complement it and reproduce the lower frequencies where themidrange loudspeakers, with its special design, cant.
The cutoff frequency recommended for these speakers not only have to take intoaccount the frequency range, but also the impedance curve of each one of them.Based on these data the recommended cuts would be the following:
PRO8MI:
Minimum lower cutoff frequency (High Pass): 200Hz
Maximum upper cutoff frequency (Low Pass): 4-5 kHz
Higher cutoff frequencies allow greater tolerance, but it is very important torespect the lower ones too. Also, the filtering should have a minimum slope of12dB per octave (second order filter).
